Planned Outage notification

NETWORK WAITAKI NOW NOTIFIES YOU OF PLANNED POWER OUTAGES IN YOUR AREA VIA TEXT AND EMAIL

If you are connected to the Network Waitaki Ltd electricity distribution network in North Otago from Shag Point in the South to the Waitaki River in the North, Hakataramea Valley, Lindis Pass Road to Dalrachney Station, Oamaru to Lake Ruataniwha and all the areas in between, you are eligible for electronic notification of planned power outages.

As an electricity distribution business, Network Waitaki employees must, from time to time, undertake asset and vegetation management that results in the electricity network being de-energised for our staff safety. Informing consumers of outages in a timely manner is part of a continuous effort to improve our service. Our focus ultimately is on delivering a safe, efficient and reliable electricity supply.

From 1 April 2018, Network Waitaki commenced texting and emailing to alert you of any planned power outages that will affect you.
