Decommission an ICP

Permanently Decommission an ICP

If you would like to permanently decommission your Installation Control Point (ICP), please contact your electricity retailer to begin the process. Your retailer will then liaise directly with Network Waitaki to arrange the necessary work.

Important to Note: Once an ICP is permanently decommissioned and removed from the network, it cannot be reactivated. If anyone wishes to reconnect at that location in the future, they will need to complete the full new connection process. 

Temporary Disconnection

A temporary disconnection is not the same as a permanent decommission.
