Loss Factors
Here are Network Waitaki's distribution loss factors. As electricity is transported through the distribution network losses occur as the electricity passes through transformers and other equipment and also as a result of metering and theft. Distribution loss factors are calculated to ensure that retailers and customers are only charged for the electricity that they use.
